Submitted by Vadim Kibardin, here’s a nice and creative project you can do during stay-at-home order. This Paper Furniture project takes advantage of cardboard waste, well, Vadim actually used his own cardboard waste to create a functional furniture. This project combines nature and technology into a multidisciplinary furniture sculpture, it’s a future vision of furniture manufacturing where craft and industrial evolution would come together for better world.
This project goal is that everyone can actually produce mass-furniture at home, simply using cardboard and paper packaging based on standard patterns created by qualified designers.
Vadim Kibardin explains that this project can be the answer to demands from society to use, reuse, and create sustainable and recyclable products. Vadim has spent years to observe and examine both artistically and poetically about human’s own ethical responsibility when it comes to human waste, which has become threat in today’s vulnerable world. Using this unique construction mechanism and cardboard box packaging, it is possible to use paper to create a sculptural object.
“I constantly ask new questions and test new ways of doing things. My process drives developments forward which can change a paper to a more sustainable and revitalized enliven solution and turn a standard packaging into a custom made product.”
Vadim Kibardin invites you to take part in this Paper Art Project, you can create new models and even produce them. Together we can create innovations, and innovations start with progressive thinking. Each project can turn into a handmade piece of art such as totem pole or a functional product solution with affordable price. Just download patterns and manuals, collect those unused paper and cardboard packaging and start this project with the whole family.
