Joining green revolution, Exsilio, a Finnish enterprise has designed and developed EkoFARMER. It’s a high tech solution for modular farming in urban environment, a solution where we can produce ecological local food, cultivated efficiently.
Featuring 13-meter long farming module, EkoFARMER consists of a renovated container where restaurants or institutional kitchens can grow their own ingredients. This module is also ideal for farmers who want to replace their traditional greenhouses. This closed container requires only electricity and water to operate, the level of humidity, carbon dioxide, and water can be controlled to produce optimal yield and best possible flavor.

EkoFARMER can be placed almost anywhere, it doesn’t need much space and it is transferrable. Unlike other conventional urban farming, this module doesn’t use any nutrients other than ecological cultivation soil developed by Kekkilä. The company promises that each modular can produce up to 55,000 pots of salad per year, making horticulture profitable in urban environments.
Mass produce, nice, awesome. For cities worldwide.
