Designed for Ason Co., Ltd., Transcutaneous Oxygen Sensor is a concept wearable device that directly measures oxygen level of tissue right beneath your skin. Oxygen is carried by blood, a good blood flow helps would healing, therefore, this type of device is often used to measure the ability of tissue to effectively heal itself.
This project combines technology with good design to result in a product that stands out in both functionality and aesthetically.
Wearable Transcutaneous Oxygen Sensor Concept combines luminescent gas sensing and soft electronics technology, it can be used for diagnosis and treatment of all diseases related to peripheral capillaries. Deokhee Jeong explains that during the design process, engineers and design team teamed up and listened to each other to create a logical and highly functional medical device. The result is a small, therapeutic patch like medical device that visually attractive to accurately measure your skin oxygen levels.
