Double Compact Tea Maker is a concept design submitted by Aybike Eser. Inspired by rising trend of small space homes, she decided to design a compact teapot, enough for up to three people. You can read her own explanations below.
Nowadays, 1 + 1 houses are getting popular, people prefer to live in a smaller house. According to this trend, it is aimed to design a teapot that can make tea for up to 3 people. The product consists of two internal pots. The infuser and the teapot are located inside of the water pot. The advantage of this is that it provides a better brewing experience by eliminating the overturning of the teapot, dripping problems of teapots as well as by heating the pot in all directions. Thanks to the adjustable button located on the handle, the user can pour the tea and water separately in one mouth. The most important part of the project is the brewing method.
Having a method, Double Compact Tea Maker directs the water to the inside of the pot thanks to the inverted conic structure inside the steam top which boils the water. In twenty minutes, the water will fill the tea pot. Because of the gradually filling, they brew the tea in a tasty way without burning it. Combination of glass inside of the glass and the harmonic movements of water droplets, the design present itself as a crystal lighting object
Designed for modern microliving, the Double Compact Tea Maker does just as the name suggests. It’s been reduced to the bare essentials without sacrificing functionality to accommodate small households of 1, 2, or 3 people with limited kitchen space. The “pot” actually consists of two internal pots. The infuser and the teapot are located inside of the water pot. The advantage of this twist in design is that it provides a better brewing experience by eliminating the possibility of accidental overturning and drip. Furthermore, it heats the pot in all direction to ensure an even brew.
