Shell House is a modern family recreation center designed by K&B Partners, an Odessa-based architecture and interior design firm. This project is planned to be built near the sea in Koblevo, Mykolaiv region, Ukraine, as you probably can see, the unique housing design was inspired by mussel, a common mollusk in the area.
Led by Kovtun Yuri and Burakov Egor of K&B Partners, Shell House can be considered as multi-family home within a single area. It is designed for small families of two people and large families of four people and more. The main idea here is to design modern family recreation center since it is located near the sea. The unusual shape would stand out in the crowd, it mimics the shell of bivalve mollusk, two shells connected with a hinge. Mainly made of wood, the unusual shape of the structure doesn’t sacrifice the interior space or style. The completion of Shell House project is estimated in spring of 2023.
