Orion Public Transport Concept has been designed for India urban environment. With increase in population growth in India, the cities have also seen drastic growth in housing/building groups that offer different facilities such as shopping malls, parks, health care facilities, and many more. There will be millions of residents that have to travel on regular basis to workplaces or nearby areas for daily activities and usually they use personal vehicles to commute. This concept introduces “Closed Group” transit system which is owned and operated exclusively by the society corporation body itself and meant only to be used by the residents.
This kind of system will remove the concept of ownership of smaller vehicles by the public by introducing small transit modules for commuting purposes which will be available in different varieties of open air / sitting for two / standing modes and will be completely guided by the grid system which will be mapped throughout the housing/society area from one end to the another. These vehicles will have sensors based guiding equipments inbuilt which will follow the routes specified by the user within the active route network.

Orion Public Transport Concept System will be usable for distances ranging from few minutes to an hour or so of time taken in travel between the destinations/nodes and hence will reduce the need for the user to use his own Personal mobility options to go over very short distances or to travel within the society/structure. India ranks 4th in terms of annual CO2 emissions releasing a massive amount of 1,742,698 thousand metric tones .Hence these transit modules are designed to be running on electric power either re-chargeable over charging stations or self-charging using mounted solar power modules.
