Submitted by Vuk Nemanja Zoraja, Dream Building is a re-work of an old project that he did in October, 2014. Just like its name suggests, the unique architecture of this building was inspired by his dream.
“I am one of those people who forget their dreams as soon as they wake up but for some reason I remembered this one clearly. It was a short one but I remembered a lot of details from it, I was seating in an office with two architects and we were presented with a task of designing a building that would have be inspired by geometrical shapes by square, circle and spiral to be more precise, they were busy with other projects so design fell on me which was exciting because I was a new in the office.”
Vuk Nemanja Zoraja explains to us that he uses square for base of the building and then to cut the corners of every floor with that cut out moving by one corner per floor to create spiral shape of building. For those openings, it is placed floor to ceiling windows and doors, which create an illusion that there is a glass cylinder going through entire building and that would imply that there is a circle in the base of it. Vuk’s dream must be really intense and vivid since he could easily replicate what he saw through drawing, hence the name Dream Building.
