Lido Expandable Floor Table is a modern furniture piece inspired by a light crack that turns a dark or enclosed space a bit bright from a ray of light that shines through. This table folds into a little orthogonal bin with gaps between panel, encouraging curious eyes to take a peek inside. This table looks like just a storage bin when folded, when you lift up the wide panel, joint legs are projected out from the bin and transform Lido into a small table.
Designed by Nak Boong Kim, Lido Expandable Floor Table can turn into a big dining table. This is particularly useful, especially in Japan and Korea where eating on the floor table (Kotatsu) is a common culture. You can easily transform the table size based on the number of people using it. This table design has been awarded with Silver A’ Design Award 2020.
