We have featured Aptera Electric Three Wheeler in 2007, and now Aptera Motors introduces its first solar electric vehicle (sEV) that promises no-charging feature for most daily use. It has amazing range of up to 1,000 miles per full charge, there’s no industry that can achieve this type of performance to date. Aptera makes it possible due to its lightweight structure, low-drag aerodynamics and cooling, and material science. Aptera promises you world’s most efficient vehicle ever made available to consumers not just concept.
Taking advantage of abundant energy in our universe, Aptera’s Never Charge technology makes it possible to keep your battery pack topped off anywhere you want to go (except an area with no sun for days such as The Arctic Circle).
Aptera sEV is built with Never Charge Technology inside, it is designed to harvest enough sunlight to travel over 11,000 miles per year in most regions. This lightweight vehicle is made of composites which are many times stronger than steel, therefore, it’s unique body shape can easily slip through the air with an unheard-of drag coefficient. The integrated solar technology can be configured to provide up to 45 miles of range per day with more than 3 square meters and 180 efficient solar cells designed into Aptera vehicle’s structure. It is claimed to be world’s first vehicle capable to meet most daily driving needs using just solar power.
Even though Aptera sEV is powered by solar energy, its liquid-cooled electric motors are able to propel Aptera from 0-60 in just 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 110 mph. The cockpit gives control to driver to adjust several settings where they can conserve energy and extend range in real time.
