During Samsung Developer Conference (SDC10), Samsung has revealed the winners of Samsung Mobile Design Competition, Star of Galaxy. It’s a design competition for mobile accessory and wallpaper designs where each creation must enhance user’s experience of next galaxy mobile devices.

Star of Galaxy wins the grand prize in Next Mobile + category, it’s a robotic stand concept that would transform any Samsung Galaxy device into a collaborative countertop smart assistant with Bixby.

Designed by INNGAGE (André Gouveia, Nuno Pires and João Pereira), Star of Galaxy is a conceptual robotic arm that when integrated with Bixby, would transform your Samsung Galaxy Device into a smart, countertop virtual assistant. It’s a mobile accessory that will empower users to become the star of their experiences.

Star of Galaxy was designed to focus on the theme of collaborative robotics in order to provide new experiences for its users. Thanks to Bixby virtual assistant platform, it is possible for this accessory to allow Samsung Galaxy device to follow and interact with their user through face and voice recognition.

Star of Galaxy would allow smartphone or tablet to be fully fixed and rotated through its articulated body, thus creating new levels of comfort and flexibility in everyday tasks such as shooting videos or taking pictures, cooking, video conferencing, among others.

The winners of this competition were selected by a jury of international designers such as Stefan Scholten and Paul Austin, as well as Samsung executives, and Dezeen editor-at-large Amy Frearson.
