MUV-e Scooter : Low Energy, Cost Efficient Green Vehicle for The City

This is the age where world’s city centers are experiencing a rapid population growth that also effects the growth in the number of motorized vehicles on the road. The number of vehicles is the main cause of traffic jam and air pollution, so, in order to answer the challenge to create green and compact vehicle, Amir Zaid has come up with MUV-e scooter. It’s a foldable scooter, an alternative transportation solution from an Israeli company. MUV-e is a low energy, cost efficient vehicle, an ideal vehicle to give citizen green mobility in the city.

Amir Zaid established MUV-e company at the beginning of 2012, he’s a skilled automotive designer which has done extensive researches in car design and development industry.

MKS-1 SLS Multifunctional Space Launch System by Oscar Vinals

MKS-1 SLS Multifunctional Space Launch System, just like its name suggests, it can be used to launch wide variety space rockets. You probably can guess the designer behind this project, yes, the one and only, our friend, Oscar Viñals. You can read his explanations about his latest project below:

Currently/Today, the only way that we know to launch Vehicles or “payload” into Space or at Low earth orbit (suborbital), is using a Rocket which takes off from land place and reaches the pre-selected “objective”. Depending on their “payload” specifications, it is necessary to use a Rocket with special size and features.

The MKS-1 SLS is a concept plane with multifunctional uses, designed like a “Launch-Support” for many different Space Rockets or Special Space & Suborbital vehicles; thought to reach their objectives, decreasing today’s costs for launching into Space, these “payloads” with smaller Rockets and lesser fuel, and minimizing the non-reusable parts.

Versatile, adaptable for special Ovi’s rocket (equipped with supersonic wings, all controlled by Intelligent Flight Control System (IFCS)) with NASA’s CM (Crew Module), NASA’s Ares I evo rocket (with “special wings”), ESA’s Vega evo rocket (with “special wings”), NASA’s X-43a experimental vehicle with “special rocket”, Aurora SR-91 experimental vehicle, REL’s (Reactions Engines Limited) Skylon experimental vehicle, XLDron M Gravity mass Space Tourism and more potentials “payloads”.

Terra Motors eTricycle Is Our Next Generation of Electric Tuk Tuk

Tuk Tuk is a unique traditional transportation that you can find in many Asian cities such as Bangkok, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, etc., unfortunately, they also contribute to urban pollution and high fuel costs. Terra Motors have an idea to replace this vehicle with an electric version, it will certainly reduce polluting vehicles on the streets. This eTricycle features blue-and-white color scheme, modern and stylish version of the old Tuk Tuk. It is powered by a lithium-ion battery which can travel 30 miles/hour for every 2-hour charge. The overall dimension is just less than 11-feet long and steered with handlebars, well, just like the traditional one.

The company is hoping to be the world’s top eTricycle maker since there’s not one company in Asia that mass produces these types of vehicles.

Peugeot Scooter 2++ For Future Micro Urban Mobility

Peugeot Scooter 2++ was born out of the intention to provide two wheeled scooter customers with better safety and storage. These designers had found and analyzed the issues of these vehicles such as storage, safety, theft, and security, they also took into account the constraints of drivers who refuse to ride 2-wheeled vehicles.

Having identified these issues, they have come up with good solutions which answers many questions of safety, protection against stealing and damage, and storage. All these concerns have allowed them to design Peugeot Scooter 2++ concept which is a niche vehicle. It has the advantages of a car for storage and protection, but also the benefits of two wheels in size to adapt to urban traffic. This eco-friendly electric vehicle can be one of the solutions for the future micro urban mobility.

BeeHive Concept Intelligent Truck Rental System For Mega Cities in 2030

BeeHive Concept is the future vision of mega cities in 2030 by Yuhan Zhang. It’s an intelligent rental truck system that offers solutions to our existing problems: traffic jam, energy waste, parking lot, and many more. Yuhan has envisioned that in the future, city transportation system will be divided into 3 different tracks:

  • Overground highway for high speed cars
  • Ground for pedestrians and low speed vehicles
  • Underground for subway

BeeHive concept proposes 2 main possible scenarios in the future:

Hive center
The Hive center is a base for parking and dispatching Bee trucks. There are many hive centers lines along the highway like chain store, saved parking space in the city.

Bee Truck
It is automated driving rental truck hired by customers through internet. Bee truck has two runing modes: High-speed mode which moves fast below the highway with electric magnetic power and Low-speed mode where the bee truck can land on the ground to deliver cargo to the person. Bees can only run in low speeds on ground for the safety of the pedestrian. When mission is accomplished, the Bee truck will search for the nearest hive center to rest while waiting for next job.

What a cool concept we’ve found here, Novel folding kettle. This patent pending concept features foldable kettle with simple design and minimum shape that allows you to simply keep it in the back of your pocket of your pants or toss it in your travel bag. The ergonomic exterior body design with special heatproof plastic material makes it easy to hold and safe to touch even when heated to the boiling point. The interior material is made of 100% silicone, thus, allowing its horizontal folding mechanism. Bayonet adapter is used to connect to electric power.

Apollo E-Bike : Folding Bike Designed for Daily Urban Use

Earning its name from the roman god of the sun, the Apollo E-Bike expresses the identity of the Solsonica brand trough the chromatic composition and the logotype featured on its main frame. The “Italian Flag Badge” reinforces the national origin, assuming the Apollo as an unmistakable Italian Design product. Designed for a daily urban use, Apollo E-Bike introduces an innovative folding system, easily adapting it to any situation where space economy matters.

Equipped with a detachable 260Wh LiFePO4 battery, a 250W In-wheel Motor and a Dynamo (for energy recovery), Apollo E-bike is able to reach a top speed of 25km/h with a maximum range of 60km in full-electric mode. One button click away and its user can choose between two other modes (Hybrid and Pedal) extending the overall range.

μcar Electric Vehicle Typology by Dr Lino Vital Garcia-Verdugo

μcar (read : mjukar) is an electric vehicle typology for the city as part of this automotive designer PhD research. The μcar is a feasible alternative to car within cities (reducing typical problems linked to pollution, pedestrian safety and traffic congestion).

The main goal of the μcar is maximizing adaptability for different urban scenarios and individuals, while improving the feasibility of existing electric powertrain technologies. This double goal translates into an exposed vehicle architecture that is both modular and lightweight. Moreover, this city car would be road legal too (quadricycle, categories L6e and L7e), with a body structure that would equal the levels of protection offered in conventional cars.

Dispatch Utility Vehicle for Underground Mine Environment

In the underground mining industry, few good solutions exist for personnel transport and service utility vehicles, and even fewer for ambulances. Dispatch utility vehicle fulfills the current need for a specialized solution that addresses the needs of personnel transport, emergency ambulance, and service utility vehicle for the underground mine environment; all in one vehicle, maximizing use of the vehicle and freeing up space in the mine.

Dispatch Utility Vehicle does not have a designated front end, allowing it to drive right up to an emergency site or tight work space and not have to back out or turn around; the driver switches the driver console to the other end of the vehicle. The mobile driver console can be attached at either end of the vehicle and used remotely when needed, and also operates the overhead crane – integrated into the roof structure.
