Submitted by Springtime Design, SUPERKOP is a human-powered espresso maker with unique ratchet system. SUPERKOP engineers make it possible for this device to achieve a serious 9 bar of pressure, creating a perfect espresso without the need of electricity. Springtime has developed the visual design for this machine and brand.

The design was based on the idea of a coffee tool. The design team aims to create an indestructible tool that lasts for several lifetimes while also looking really cool as a human-powered kitchen tool. Form follows function, robustness over refinement, SUPERKOP would become your timeless espresso tool that’s always ready to help you make a delicious cup of espresso every morning.

The main body of SUPERKOP is made of powder-coated aluminum cast, giving space and mounting points for its internals. That racetrack-shaped windows in the sides offer a good view of the internal mechanism. Together with its polished handles and glass water container, Springtime Design has designed an espresso maker with great balance between its robustness and industrial character of the body. It can be wall-mounted or placed on your countertop.

Even though SUPERKOP might not be the fastest way to get your coffee in the morning, but this device is all about the sacred ritual of making your cup of joe. You can grind your beans, boil water, and then manually press water through the coffee. This ritual makes personal way of making your espresso.
