Created in collaboration with Cook, a company with innovative kitchen and food storage product line, Venn IDC has come up with Venn Bento Lunch Box. It’s a lunch box that should not be hidden deep in your bag but to be carried out and about, combined with most fashionable outfits. More and more people start bringing their own food when going out, due to several reasons. Special dietary needs, increasing demand on healthier, home-made food, budget concerns, environmental considerations for not creating package waste and joy of cooking can be counted.
Therefore, more lunch boxes are designed, produced and launched to the market. A vast majority of these products offer “functional” benefits to the users such as, larger numbers of compartments, better heat insulation or stackability. However, the design team believes that along with all these crucial functions of a lunch box, users also need and look for a “better” appearance that would not conflict with their outfits.
The user persona Venn has established for this project is a young professional, from the beginning to the first 10 years of their white-collar career. The choices these users make are likely to be affected by the “image” they carefully construct with their outfits, haircuts, the electronic devices they use and even with the car they drive.
Along with a stylish look, Venn Bento Box is designed to offer a firm seal with the lid and a sufficient insulation with the double-wall created by the separation of inner compartments and the outer shell.
Venn IDC believes that by the variety of shell designs achievable; the handbag collection interest people seem to have these days can be used to fuel an environmentally friendly and healthy hobby of home-made lunches. Even shells with high-fashion brand customization can be manufactured in order to achieve this goal.
