Now as electric, autonomous vehicles are going to happen, it looks like several luxury hotels out there are planning to create luxury traveling experience to captivating destinations through special ride. Take a look at Belmond Ltd, it’s a leisure company that operates not just hotels but also luxury Orient-Express train services, restaurants, and also cruises across the globe.

Mercedes x Belmond Vision Pullman Express is a concept design study that combines two magnificent brands to take you traveling for leisure. Is it possible to do this? Well, hopefully this concept can be the start of future traveling. This concept wants to bring your hotel room wherever you go.

Designed by Arya Kani, Mercedes x Belmond Vision Pullman Express was created as part of his master’s thesis project at the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena. Called Hotel on Wheels, this project combines accessibility of passenger cars with the convenience of a hotel room. It wants to create a seamless travel experience for people who don’t need to be on the road for too long, perhaps 3 days max.

For the exterior, Arya wanted to design the grille to look futuristic yet still features the design DNA of Mercedes-Benz. The fascia and stretched the C-pillar in contrast to the almost upright A-pillar. The side panel flap, there’s removable panel for battery-swap pack and outlet for micro mobility integration.

For the interior, it is designed to provide comfort of a hotel room. There’s a zone dedicated to seating and sleeping, a lookout bar, and a glass roof that turns opaque for increased privacy.
