This credit card sized phone might not be as small as Zanco Tiny T1, but it’s still considered as one of world’s smallest and lightest phone. Kyocera in collaboration with NTT Docomo has launched KY-01L Card Phone. Even though it’s small, it has all basic functionalities of a smartphone too, but it is still meant to be a companion device. You can carry it as your secondary or backup phone. Featuring mini 2.8-inch e-ink touchscreen display, this phone has sleek earpiece on top with slim power button and volume keys on top and side respectively. It weighs just at 47 grams, this phone has dimensions of 9cm high, 5cm wide, only 5mm thick. It doesn’t have camera or app store, but this 4G smartphone can make and answer calls, has web browsing capability, some basic apps such as clock, calculator, contacts, dialer, browser, messages, and calendar.
Equipped with 380mAh battery, Kyocera KY-01L Card Phone has standby time of 100 hours and a continuous talk time of 110 minutes. At this moment, Kyocera says that it can be expected to release in Japan at the end of November 2018, not sure about the global release just yet.
