Ponti Design Studio unveils Agora E, it’s a futuristic concept of autonomous social riding EV designed to promote person social interaction in Hong Kong. As a zero emissions vehicle, Agora E provides passengers with reliable and highly sustainable transportation. Well, it’s undeniable that we need other people in our life, socialization has been at the core of human life. Agora E was named after the Greek world for “square”, it was inspired by historical gathering space of ancient Greek cities that affected economic, social, and politic life. The main design has been carefully considered to promote good socialization, it invites people to start a conversation and meaningful interaction. That’s why the interior design implements a continuous, circular seat that allows passengers to face inward, leaving an open space in the middle for standing passengers as well as a wheelchair or luggage.
Agora E uses only recycled and upcycled materials throughout the cabin, this project aims to minimize the environmental impact of the product. The use of deep calming green also provides a sense of comfort while reflecting the concept of sustainability. Ponti Design Studio wants to offer future vision of Hong Kong’s public mobility through Agora E Social Riding EV. That clean silhouette of the exterior maximizes internal capacity of up to 10 passengers while reducing any bulk. The compact body makes it ideal for commercial use in busy urban settings. Large glass panels allow for natural light to come inside during the day while offering awesome Hong Kong’s iconic cityscape at night.
Aside for Hong Kong, Agora E Social Riding EV can also be implemented in densely populated cities of Southern China. It would be a great urban transport that helps rediscover the importance of human interaction in public spaces.
