Kenny Schacter has commissioned Zaha Hadid to design a limited edition speedboat for his personal use, Z-Boat. This is the man who has everything you’ve been dreaming of, checkout his jaw dropping collection, from plush alligator chair by Campana Brothers to 1983 Alfa Romeo and several Porsche models in his garage. At first sight, you might not recognize this boat as the work of Zaha Hadid, because there’s no fluid shape in shiny metallic finish just like her internationally known style, Hadid preferred to boast asymmetrical and fragmented design to provide more seating space for the passengers.
Z-Boat features 8-meter long body and all black finish. It’s being built by Shoreteam, a French manufacturer and there’s going to be only 12 of them to go on sale in 2013. If you are interested to buy this sexy and cool boat, for €375,000, it can be yours.

Zaha Hadid Architects, keeping their usual fluid movement language intact, has designed Form in Motion, a groundbreaking exhibition center for the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The design incorporates wavy geometries that give it a great touch of urbanism, while displays a swelling three dimensional environment both from inside and out. The design flow has been perfectly carried out by active combination of architecture, landscape and geology, and the point where these elements intersect by giving it a wave like movements with constantly shifting perspectives.

This Busan Opera House design proposal features a synthetic mountain architecture that stands in contrast to the horizontality of the Marine Culture District but still relates to the mountainous topography of the city. The opera house can be seen from all over the bay as a beautiful and strong silhouette that bounds to the characteristic of the city.
The opera house will be housing two main areas that contain 2000-seat opera and 1300-seat multifunctional theater. These volumes are loosely contained at the outer shell of the mountain where the opera house will sometime fuse with them or dissolve away to create views and passageways through its cavernous public space. The entry gateways of this mountain are positioned to face the amazing views of the city and the waterfront.

Laurentius library is a ring-shaped space-frame structure that houses more than 10,000 collection of books. Designed by Anton Markus Pasing, this library has its own background story. It was based on a clergyman who lived on a lonely highway near small community. This man loved reading books, however the loneliness became more and more depressing by days, therefore, he decided to build a library that contains books of religion, ethic, and philosophy accessible to everyone who is interested.

The 2012 Olympic basketball stadium has been designed as a temporary structure and is considered as the largest ever arena to be built for games. London as also constructed a main stadium worth £500 million and another expensive venue named, the Olympic Aquatics Center, which was designed by Zaha Hadid. The total sums from both the complexes as well as the Olympic village swayed London’s Olympic team to realize the stadium only as a temporary construction. Sinclair Knight Merz in partnership with Wilkinson Eyre as well as KSS has built a basketball arena, which is considered as the fastest structures to be constructed for games and ready a year in advance. The main decision to use the arena as a temporary structure for Olympics shows the common acuity that perception of structure equals epic architecture. While the stadium will have its 15 minutes next summer, it would be deconstructed and sent elsewhere for use.

Core2sia is the name of this unique futuristic concept imagined by Hossein Ghahramani. The word “Core2sia” refers to the Italian word “cortesia” which translated means politeness, courteousness, courtliness. The number 2 inserted in the name reminds us that we are talking about a vehicle that has the ability to split in two, telling us that is something with 2 cores. Inspired by sea creatures and Zaha Hadid’s architecture lines, Hossein, developed his main idea of the concept. The main idea was to design a family car which consists of two vehicles in the same time inside a cover. The cover can be used as a cabin for camping when the cars are separated. The supple long shape of the two mini cars allows them to move easily in heavy traffic just as a motorcycle would find its way between other cars stuck in traffic. This interesting concept comes with more new features, one of these is the drive train.

The JS Bach Chamber Music Hall is a brilliant concept design installed at Manchester Art Gallery in order to house musical performances. The hall is built on a steel structure covered with a transparent fabric membrane suspended form the ceiling which divides and encloses the space aside from creating a stage, area for audience and passages for in and out of the hall. Above the stage, clear and acrylic panes are suspended, offering perfect disperse and reflect of sound. A massive ribbon swirls within the hall is carving out a visual and spatial response to the obscure relationships of Bach’s harmonies. Since the ribbon staggers above the performer and cascades into the ground along with wraps around the listeners, the original box shaped room is quite absent, rather, only fluid spaces are visible that are swelling, slipping and merging through one another. The design surely will enhance the diversity of Bach’s work via a coherent structural and formal logic integration.
