Zaha Hadid Architects, together with ADP Ingeniérie (ADPI) have completed the concept design for Beijing new airport which will be world’s largest airport passenger terminal. This project is based on the bid winning planning scheme held by ADPI and under the leadership of Beijing New Airport Headquarters (BNAH). The existing Beijing capital airport has already exceeded its planned capacity, this new airport will serve one of world’s fastest growing aviation sectors and create better connection between Beijing and cultural, economic and civic centers around the world. This project aims to accommodate more than 45 million passengers/year, the terminal is adaptable and sustainable, it can be operated with different configurations following varying aircraft and passenger traffic throughout the day.

This new airport will be integrated with multi-modal transport center, creating a direct link to local and national rail services such as Gaotie high speed rail. This new Daxing airport will become the key hub of Beijing’s growing transport network, it will become a great channel for the region’s growing economic such as Tianjin city and Hebei Province.
