Just because you can do some feature doesn't mean you should. I like the idea of communicating with other vehicles for the sake of driving and safety, however what is the point of having menus in the car for "web, social,", etc.? Shouldn't the driver be focused on driving? Why does everyone insist on making every environment basically a gigantic iPad or web browser? Perhaps the user should be focused on engaging in the task at hand rather than having to A) learn yet another new interface with new icons and interaction schema and B) being further cognitively distracted and thereby impairing their ability to drive. And even if it is all automated then what is the point of even having cars? We might as well be asleep that way we can be even less engaged with physical reality; is that not the suggested values of this kind of direction?
