Combining sustainability and technology, here’s Sunne, autonomous, ambient solar light for indoors. Anyone has access to solar energy, so why not taking advantage of it?
Sunne features unique shape that looks like a horizon, it is 85cm in length and hangs in the window by two steel wires. There’s no external plug needed, since it converts solar energy into electricity. This light contains solar cells, which is developed together with ECN.TNO, one of most advanced energy research centers in Europe. Sunne charges its battery during the day and displays ambient light at night.
Sunne Solar Light has three settings that imitate natural moments of the sun: rise, light, and set. This beautiful light is accessible to anyone and it fits within your home. This would be the first in a range of solar products that aims to integrate solar energy into your daily environment. Designed by Marjan van Aubel, she is an award-winning solar designer from The Netherlands. She believes that we should start harnessing sun’s energy to reduce our electricity usage.
