“Our Common House” Digit-Shaped Nesting Box Provides Home for Urban Wild Birds

Well, by the time we reach 2050, United Nations predicts that more than 50% of world’s population would live in cities, we urbanize. As population grows, deforestation occurs, we have to clear more lands for food, agriculture, and habitation. Many species of wild birds become endangered. Due to lack of nesting opportunities, we have reduced wild bird populations. What if we could make the city a nice and comfortable place for these birds?

“Our Common House” is a digit-shaped nesting box that wants to propose a solution to this problem. It’s a project where a regular person like us can also make our home a cozy space for birds to live.

The outer casing of this nesting box is made of natural fired clay, this clay houses a nesting box made of natural wood that offers comfortable breeding habitat for wild birds and protection from elements or urban predators.

The front panel is removable, making it easy to clean and maintain after every nesting season. “Our Common House” is intended to use to mark your street addresses in city areas, just choose combination of digits to mark your house, it’ll invite wild birds to move in with you.
