Mimo Smart Baby Monitor is a set of organic cotton baby kimono and non-contact machine washable sensors (Mimo Turtle) that monitor baby’s respiration. Together, the kimono and Mimo Turtle keeps an eye on the baby’s skin temperature, body position, activity level, and of course respiration. All this data is sent to Mimo Lilypad Base Station through infant-safe Bluetooth Low Energy. Lilypad connects Turtle to your home’s WiFi then it processes all the essential information in real-time using special algorithms to provide parents with baby’s data in real time. There’s a built-in microphone that allows Mimo to stream baby’s sound to your smartphone, pretty cool heh? The special app alerts parents if there’s any changes in baby’s data in real time, they get to view trend and analytics about baby’s sleep over time and many more.

Since it’s a special gadget for baby, safety is the top priority of the design team. Mimo Turtle is water resistant and too big to be a choking hazard, it’s totally chew-safe. Mimo is not a concept, it’s actually available at the cost of $199 for a starter package that includes 3 kimonos, 3 Lilypad base station, and 1 Trutle.
