Covid-19 pandemic might seem over, but in some countries, infection from this virus is still happening every day, but not as lethal as before (let’s hope so). Everyone is still exposed to the virus, including children.

Lo.Li is a concept product designed to detect the virus in young children, it detects Covid-19 saliva antigens in a fun way. Saliva antigen (oropharyngeal) testing is more comfortable than nasopharyngeal testing where the swab inserted into the nose in direction to the nasal and septum floor until it reaches nasopharynx. It can be uncomfortable and even painful when not done properly.

Conventional saliva testing requires children to hold the strip inside their mouth for up to 15 minutes. This can be difficult for young children to maintain the strip that long inside their mouth. This new Lo.Li design integrates a lollipop with saliva antigen testing in hope that would dramatically children’s willingness in testing as well as ensure detection time. The candy is also designed with certain texture to facilitate saliva diversion, collecting the saliva naturally.
