Mateone is a smart wrist accessory to assist the loved ones. Designed in collaboration with Biyomod; It is the physical part of an inclusive health monitoring service. This service includes a 24-hour on duty health assistance team who carefully monitors the data collected with the wrist accessory.
Therefore, first function of this product is to collect and store health related data of wearer. As well as the assistance team, for instance daughters or sons of the user can also observe the stored data. The objective is to maximize the usage of elderly people, eliminating the need for a smart phone will help them feel less complicated with the technological procedures.
The second function of Mateone by Venn IDC is to stand as an audio communication device in an emergency situation. If the user finds themselves in an emergency situation, they only need to push the main button and be directed to number recorded. Through device, they can talk and immediately feels relieved. In cases of drastic changes in health data, long periods of taking the device off, falling off or leaving the geographical limits defined; related people and authorized organizations are alarmed at once. All these helpful functions are enclosed in a stylish, modern and elegant wrist accessory. During the design process, users were interviewed regularly in order to reach a final design that will eliminate all the negative meanings attached to a “tracking device”. Final prototypes support this stance of design team. Seniors have shown interest and stated the slightly ‘technological’ look of Mateone makes them feel updated with current trends.
