ZAAFDesign was awarded as the winner of Red Dot Award – Design Concept 2020 in Childhood design category. This prestigious award recognizes Smart Infant Carrier for its innovations, functionality, and quality. During the design process, the design team was challenged to create affordable, compact, easy-to-carry, yet this carrier should still provide the highest safety standard. Using ISOfix connectors allows for this car seat to have light weighted and highly resistant material, these connectors are placed inside a lodging that opens when these connectors are used in the car and closes as the carrier is used outside. It also means that the use of ISOfix base can also be avoided.

Smart Infant Carrier requires less space in the car, it reduces the risk of misuse because there are no fixed elements that remain installed or unchecked for a long time. User would need to check and repeat the installation every single time he or she places this carrier inside the car. Each carrier is equipped with a simplified stroller, which closes and opens with one hand, this stroller also fits easily inside the trunk of any car.

ZAAFDesign, an Italian Design Company based in Turin, also minimalist design of the stroller is also supported by the fact that the handle of Smart Infant Carrier is retractable, turning it into the handle to push/pull the stroller.
