In today’s world, retired senior citizens are most likely to experience lack of attention and warmth of their loved ones. These people are not completely bed ridden or suffer from some diseases, but they are active old people who constantly feel the need to be connected to their family members and be socially active.

Linkage is a communication system concept that makes life easier for senior citizens and their families. It monitors daily activities of its user, sends alerts to the family members (via mobile app) in case of emergencies. It helps the senior citizens set reminders, navigate locations, send alerts in case of emergencies and explore social life with others who use the linkage wearable. This device can be pinned to clothing, or can be attached to any surface or object such as a walking stick, wheelchair or can be worn on the hand as it has a elastic strap and a simple magnetic attachment mechanism.
