The Catrike 700 is a speed focused human-powered vehicle designed to transport a single person from point A to point B as quickly and efficiently as possible. Built using aerospace grade aluminum, the 700 features three wheels for a fast, stable ride. A low, aerodynamic body position puts the rider it the perfect location to generate power and speed. The rear wheel uses a Thru-Axle design that increases stiffness and provides more precise steering. To further improve control, the Catrike 700 employs Ackerman Steering Compensation, a geometric arrangement of linkages in the steering to solve the problem of wheels on the inside and outside of a turn needing to trace out circles of different radii.
Transferring the rider’s energy to the road is an advanced 21-speed drivetrain mated to mechanical disc brakes. For use by a wide variety of different sized riders, the 700 from Catrike has the crankset and pedals mounted to central adjustable boom along with an ergonomic mesh seat. The Catrike 700 is rounded out with a rearview mirror and mount for GPS computer. The Catrike 700 weighs in at 34 lbs.
