Submitted by Puigmigliore, Axis Cabinet is crafted using local material and efficient joining system. The starting point of this conceptual project was trying to utilize local material where the design team can handle it without depending on third parties. It means that the team can work with same material and sticks from the same scantling. By using the same, constant material, the product should be simple, neat, and have innovative joining mechanism. Therefore, as a start, the team has created a framework in three directions of space to create amazingly light yet sturdy structures.
Puigmigliore Studio explains that Axis Cabinet is created by building a neat frame made of sticks, chiaros-curo crossed that by light beams can produce nice shadow that would directly send us back to the habitat where this material comes from. Each cabinet is made and assembled by hand.
Tuvie has received “Axis Cabinet” project from our ‘Submit A Design‘ feature, where we welcome our readers to submit their design/concept for publication.
