VOX is a smart-object that will revolutionize your morning experience. VOX uses parametric speakers that direct sound (two speakers, one for each user), in order to create silence as much as it creates sound. With this directional speakers, the user is able to choose whether he wants to hear the TV at night with its built-in speakers, and spread the noise throughout the house, possible interfering with the sleep of somebody, or to use VOX’s directional speakers, making him, the only one can listen to the sound of TV.
This is useful in the morning as well, instead of using a traditional alarm clock, where the noise is so violent, that you wake up very quickly, and possibly wake up others as well, the alarm clock function on VOX will wake you up and only you, with the a song that you like, according to your morning mood, chosen accordingly to the data the integrated motion sensor gathered along the night.
Designer : Fábio Miguel Martins
VOX has three buttons, one for deactivating the alarm clock, another for turning on the ambient lights or the directional lights for reading, and the last one to transfer the sound from the TV to VOX’s directional speakers. This will make for a simple and efficient user interface for when you are in bed.
With every VOX, there would be “the voice”, it’s a personal assistant that reads all the information based on your habits in the morning, such as e-mails, social networks notifications, unread messages, traffic news, news in general, weather info, among others, all customized to the user’s liking.
User can use custom app to setup all VOX’s settings to the user’s specifications, as well as, give the user control of VOX’s functions, such as illumination (ambient lighting and directional lighting for reading), control of the sound (whether the user wants the sound coming from the TV or from VOX), image control (the user chooses if he wants to transfer the image from the smartphone to the TV) and control of the music app (to play songs that the user wants).
Tuvie has received “VOX Speaker” project from our ‘Submit A Design‘ feature, where we welcome our readers to submit their design/concept for publication.
