The Chef is a multifunctional smart appliance that you can use both indoor or outdoor. Bálint Kardos, an industrial designer, has done extensive research on the process of housekeeping, particularly the food making process. One of the Chef’s main functions is to manage the cooking process from pick a recipe, shopping for ingredients, to cooking properly and beyond. ”The Chef”” checks the contents of the refrigerator by the help of the RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) technology which in fact is an information chip within the packaging of the food.

If you write a digital list about the goods that you usually purchase, The Chef enables to compare the list to the contents of your refrigerator. In this way, user can get automatic digital shopping list. Anther way to get the list would be to set The Chef to search for recipes either in its memory or online. This smart appliance will write down the ingredients of the recipe and adds them to the shopping list (taking the existing foods into account).

The iWallet has extraordinary features one wouldn’t have expected in a wallet. The outer case is made of carbon fiber which makes it a hard case and tamper resistant material. The wallet is built-in with a biometric reader and the wallet can be opened only if it recognizes your fingerprint. What else can make your wallet safe? This wallet is linked to your mobile phone using the Bluetooth. It gives a loud alarm in case you miss either of the devices and if you are only 10-15 ft away from each other. It has theft deterrent technology and ensures user privacy. The technology is a licensed design which can be incorporated into OEM products.

Devices and appliances are becoming handy and portable these days. Everybody wants the smallest and the most compact item, be it a washing machine or a mobile phone. The smaller, the better is the present generation gadget motto. One simple tool that is used undoubtedly by all and almost is taken for granted is the pocket knife. Serving gazillions of applications, the usefulness of a handy knife is overlooked.

The latest product, Creditor Carbon Fiber Money Clip Knife is one such compact and efficient tool. Made of carbon fiber and titanium, it is eco-friendly and tiny. Winner of the most innovative knife design, this tool weighs only 40 grams and can fold into the smallest of thickness possible for a knife, a quarter of an inch! It also serves the purpose of holding money and other cards together. It is slim, a perfect fit in the wallet and easy to use. Its shortcoming? Well, the price. Who would want to spend a couple of hundred dollars on a pocket knife and clip which could be bought for a few dollars? The creditor knife looks sleek and attractive, small and eye-catching but is not definitely worth the price.

I hate coins. When traveling, I usually try to pay everything with coins first to make sure I don’t have to carry too many of them in my wallet. You might come across the situation where you have to dig deeper in your wallet to find the exact change/amount. Based on that situation, eCoin was designed.

eCoin is a digital representation of small amounts or coins. The semantic values are derived from existing coins and their graphics. This device is equipped with small LCD display, few buttons, and infrared controls as receiver/transmitter. It runs on coin sized lithium battery. It can provide you with balance, transfer, or received amount information with currency name. To select the right amount of money, user you can use the buttons.

The flexible OLED screen of EOS folding phone concept from Kyocera is able to change its shape from a clamshell to close like a clutch-purse or a wallet. Appealing to our humanistic senses, a semi-rigid and soft polymer skin is used surrounding the flexible OLED display. This flexible screen allows greater adaptability of shape and interaction by maintaining a compact shape for simple use and unfolds to access a large widescreen display. The most incredible thing is the EOS charges through a collection of nano-scale piezoelectric generators that can create energy when a user interacts with this device.

The Kyocera EOS can be used in its folded-up shape for simple phone calls, unfolds to reveal a wide screen, and we were excited to hear that the it derives its energy from human interaction. The more you use the phone, the more kinetic energy is turned into an electric charge through an array of tiny piezoelectric generators. In other words, you’ll never have to worry about leaving the house with a semi-charged cell phone again.
