Porsche x VW Renndienst Id.Buzz Bus Concept Replicates Classic Look with Modern Features

Back in the 1950s where Porsche used Volkswagen’s classic T1 and T2 Transporter vans for its motorsport division’s transport, it was unofficially called Renndienst. At the moment, Porsche Netherlands wants to bring back this iconic van, the company has revealed a concept Renndienst-inspired Volkswagen ID.Buzz electric van, a classic vehicle that fits for today requirements.

It’s truly an iconic bus, Porsche x VW Renndienst Id.Buzz Bus wants to replicate that classic feel yet with a newer version. It starts with a “1st Max” passenger-focused ID.Buzz, instead of a cargon van, Porsche prefers to apply its signature burgundy hue to the van before fitting Renndienst graphics.

This bus is equipped with a 77 kWh battery pack and a 204 HP electric motor that drives the rear wheels. This is true VW T1 and T2 style. Now, the problem is, you can’t have this cool van, because Porsche Netherlands don’t have any plan to build these Renndienst vans fr the public, it’s only concept that serves to inspire people to customize their own van.
