Hybrid Rug is a project based on history of porcelain and its centuries of cross-fertilization between Western and Eastern aesthetics. Well, rugs have always been a standard representation of someone’s home décor theme, they offer a nice way to re-create your surroundings through the tradition. This hybrid rug explores classic carpets’ themes of western and eastern culture in a new genre predicting our hybrid future. Through deeper and extensive research, the design team realized that this was a phenomenon, expressed in diverse fields of cultural expressions through rug design.
