FlexiOH – Next Generation of Flexible Orthopedic Cast with Good Skin Ventilation

FlexiOh is world’s first an orthopedic immobilizer that is rigid enough to hold fractured part of your body as well as providing proper skin ventilation. Started in 2014 when an interdisciplinary team of engineers, physicians, and designers at the School of International Biodesign SiB teamed up to develop an orthopedic cast with ability to adapt to patient’s skin. The final design presents flexible, perforated immobilization device unlike those available on the market. When you have to wear traditional casts, most often than not, you’ll experience itching, bad odor, irritation, discomfort, or any other skin related problems. FlexiOh wants to provide you with the next generation flexible orthopedic cast that eliminates all those issues.

FlexiOh from OrthoHeal provides you with an easy to fix wearable material on the injured part. Once you wear it, light treatment would complete the process and make FlexiOh rigid, it probably takes only 3 to 10 minutes depending on the size of the cast. Once the therapy is over, FlexiOh can be easily removed without the need of cast cutter or spreader.

It is designed and engineered to provide user with superior comfort. The internal foam that comes in contact with the skin is bio-compatible, it has cushioning against the hardened polymer. Those intermittent hollow spaces provide good air circulation and evaporation of sweat from skin surface.
