Futuristic Pangeos Terayacht Is Large Enough to Host An Entire City

Futuristic Pangeos Terayacht was conceived back in 2009 when Pierpaolo Lazzarini wanted to design a giga yacht structure, it’s large enough to host an entire city. This turtle shaped terayacht project is like building a floating city of the future, the biggest on the planet you might say. This terayacht project would be 1800ft long by 2000ft wide, it is estimated $8 billion will be needed to build this gigantic yacht with a timeline of approximately eight years.

Even though at the moment Pangeos is just a concept, it aims to start its way into something more than just computer visualization. The scale of this project is like building a real city, it has shopping centers, hotels, parks, multiple facilities, houses for up to 60,000 guests, and aircraft ports.

Pierpaolo Lazzarini chose to use the name of this terayacht from Pangea, it’s supercontinent that existed millions of years ago during the late Paleozoic and early Mesozoic eras. When realized, this vessel would become world’s largest floating structure ever built. Designed with 98ft of draft, the gigantic hull is constructed of nine different bows and subdivided into several blocks.

Starting from the entrance to the main square, then this space extends into a large terraced villa then leads to buildings, rooftop terraces, and private houses. The upper shell zone is utilized as airports for multiple flying vehicles.

The lower area houses around 30,000 cells or cluster compartments, it also offers an unsinkable floating solution for the basement. As a terayacht, Pangeos also integrates Terashipyard infrastructure with direct access to the sea. Equipped with 9HTS engines, each full electric motor can produce 16,800hp and is powered by various in-board energy sources. The rooftop is lined with solar panels, those large wings will also generate energy from the braking of those waves. Thanks to a jet drive transmission, this terayacht is capable to cruise at a speed of 5 knots.
