When Zaha Hadid Architects design a yacht, you can bet it would feature fluid dynamics exterior, just like Unique Circle Yachts. This JAZZ yacht, as the first of 5 Unique Circle Yachts, has been designed for Blohm+Voss as a family 90m yachts that creatively explores design philosophies of the master prototype conceived for a 128m yacht. The overall design is inspired by fluid dynamics and underwater ecosystems along with hydrodynamic that shapes the hull. We really love the exoskeleton structure of the exterior, it is an interwoven network of supports that vary in thickness and gives beautiful aesthetic to this yacht external appearance. It reminds you of organic marine formations and also connects different levels and decks of this yacht through expressive diagonals.
JAZZ yacht is the first model which has been technically specified and detailed by Blohm+Voss, the naval architects. The next four 90m yachts have been designed to meet the different requirements and individual requests of their designated owners. Each one will feature unique layout based on owner’s preferences.
The result of cooperation between Zaha Hadid Architects and Blohm+Voss addresses practical challenges of designing a superyacht while still pay attention to the design language of the master prototype. You can see the yacht represents Hadid’s design vision and technical expertise of Blohm+Voss, giving high flexibility and customization in the eventual design of the yacht. It’s a bold new vision that sets a new standard in the design of superyacht, it offers a range of possible solutions based on a cognate platform, the result is highly flexible to suit each individual taste and needs.
