BMW HP2 Megamoto Motorcycle

The BMW HP2 Megamoto is the second model in the new HP (High Performance) line and here, too, brand values have been consistently implemented. Driving performance and dynamics have been increased and the motorcycle design reduced to its essential elements. The BMW HP2 Megamoto transfers the BMW HP2 Enduro’s attributes of dynamics, lightness and technical perfection to the road. An optimized engine output, an adjustable upside-down fork and the spring strut serve its adaptation for road use, as do a suitable set of tires and cast aluminum wheels. The stylistic expression of this motorcycle is characterized by a compact form, with the emphasis on the front. Viewed from behind and from the rider?s position, its slim silhouette conveys this motorcycle’s easy mobility, as well as a touch of sensuality and driving pleasure.

AH A MAY Project: Root Motorcycle by Kazuki Kashiwase

Do you want to know what happen when musical instrument designers design a motorcycle? Well, project AH A MAY (Yamaha spelled backwards) has interesting idea by exchanging Yamaha 2 design divisions and give them tasks outside their design fields without any constraints related to commercialization or production. The project goal is for designers to stimulate each other’s imaginations while creating products that embodied their shared image of Yamaha. The result is amazing, such as Yamaha Root Motorcycle.

This concept motorcycle takes the meters on the instrument panel off the rider’s view. The designer wants to make sure that this little change would enable rider to be a part of the passing scenery, enjoy their surroundings instead of focusing on the instrument panel of the motorbike. The form of Root has been designed to flow continuously from the seat to the fuel tank, inspired by a horse motif that aims to give a sense of harmony among people, nature, and the vehicle.

C#3 Motorcycle by Stefan Toth

C#3 Motorcycle is the latest design from Stefan Toth that expresses freedom. It’s a conceptual electric motorbike that combines conventional design with advanced electric technology.

One of the most exciting features of motorcycles is openness. A car works a bit like a membrane, isolating driver and passengers from their environment, inhibiting the feel of wind, the scents, the sounds (Ok, cabrios are exception :). Motorcycles are following contrary manner. Traditional bikes, naked bikes don`t hide the rider neither technical details. Similar principles are used in this concept as well. Accent the openness, the air can pass through the front headlight, between battery cells. The dashboard is transparent, technical details are exposed. Even if it not a fuel engine, wiring, battery can be designed attractive too.

Charging times of e-vehicles are always crucial. In case of C#3, besides charging battery directly there is a possibility of quick switch of the batteries. C#3 LED elements are both for lighting and for improving visibility of the bike. The currently used turn indicators are really tiny, hardly visible. Here, the volume of hydraulic brake fluid is illuminated, the transparent reservoir is the lighting surface. Chain drive is inside tubes of the rear fork and the engine is part of the fork, close to rotating pivot. Therefore, chain is fully covered reducing need of cleaning maintenance.

You can find further information about C#3 from this site: http://concept3.co.nf.

Neva Motorhome by Stanislav Malyshev

We just received Neva Motorhome submission from Stanislav Malyshev, it’s a customizable motorhome with classic style. You can read designer’s own words below.

This project isn’t a concept for the far future. It is a concept that approaches the present in a different way. The main idea of the concept is – The exterior and interior of the house reflects the personality of its owner. So why not use this principle when designing a motorhome?

To start with, I wanted to make a distinctive and expressive exterior. I chose a classic styling with a lot of retro elements: round lights, wooden panels and the pillar which connects the body and the roof. The last two remind us of a yacht, which always have been a symbol of state and wealth. A yacht is also associated with sea, good weather and holidays, so the camper contains a perfect mix to satisfy his owner.

Bike One Motorsport : A Future Vision of Street Fighter Bike

Inspire by Kawasaki Z 1000 (2014), JM Wilkens has come up with sporty motorbike design that you would want to checkout: Bike One. You can read short description below about this project, given by the designer himself.

This motorcycle is for me a possible vision of a street fighter bike. I wanted it to have a powerful appearance. For this reason I thought to place the focus to the front end. At the same time it should be also a bit mysterious. So I decided to lower the front-end mask between the “shoulders”. The dark parts could be made of carbon fiber and the brights ones of aluminum. The target audience includes design studios, custom shops, and motorcycle enthusiasts.

Arch Motorcycle Company Releases Its First Bike: KRGT-1

Who would have thought Keanu Reeves can build a motorcycle? Apparently he’s a passionate motorcyclist aside from being a great actor. Together with Gard Hollinger, this duo has built Arch Motorcycle Company and just released its first bike: KRGT-1.

Unlike traditional V-twin side-mounted intakes that lay between rider’s leg and disturb ergonomics and balance, the company works together with S&S Cycle to develop Arch Down Draft Induction System. It can be positioned between billet aluminum fuel cells, making this motorcycle sleek, comfortable, and agile. The intake dams have been designed and shaped in a way that collect and deliver air to the torquey 124-inch more efficient while S&S V-twin keeping it fully aspirated. Due to multi-function design, the dams can also support and frame KRGT-1’s billet aluminum headlight housing.
