Riding a bike is the fastest and environmentally friendly way to get around in the urban environment. It’s practical and efficient. Pilot is a conceptual bike designed as the next generation bike that offers not just luxurious design but also high-tech features.

Pilot is designed with striking and elegant appearance while also fulfilling the user needs and expectations. This hubless bike design offers eye-catching aesthetic with fluid and organic shapes, also it has added functionality.

During the design process, Franz Cerwinka consulted with friends and colleagues who are expertise in mechanical engineering and apply their knowledge in his bike design. Pilot has been designed with an off center axle, therefore addition gear is required for the wheels to spin at the proper rate while pedaling naturally. There’s an onboard motor that assist cyclist for an extra boost when the throttle is pressed. Through the use of 7005 series aluminum as the main material, Pilot becomes a bicycle with good strength yet lightweight. The companion app also provides full access and control to Pilot wide range of features such as lock/unlock, control the lights, or lock/unlock battery module. User can dock their smartphone on the center console where it will be secured by adjustable rubber grips.

For better safety, Pilot Bike uses a tandem lights and wheel reflectors to make sure that the rider is visible under low light environment.
