Available in black or gray versions, Urban-E provides user with ergonomic solutions of Italian design. It features specially designed aluminum frame as the result of collaboration between Ducati designers and Industrial Design Division of Italdesign. The cockpit of Italdesign x Ducati Urban-E Folding e-Bike features a fully integrated LCD display in the stem, giving rider all control of all assistance functions, it’s easy to check remaining battery charge or turn the LED lights on/off. The 378Wh battery can provide rider with up to 70 km range. Folding e-bikes are becoming more popular these days as personal and green transportation to cruise around the city. For Urban-E project, the design teams have inserted Ducati stylistic elements then adapted them to the structural and design requirements of the main purpose of a bike while still considering the user’s needs.
Designers and engineers worked together to design and develop Urban-E to become a clean yet functional bike with style. The battery is integrated onto the frame in a way that recalls motorcycle’s fuel tank with typical Ducati red color and arched shapes. It’s an iconic styling element. Even the LED lights are integrated onto the frame, the suspension fork, 20”x4” fat tires with Kevlar anti-puncture technology mounted on double-shoulder aluminum rims and the rear mudguard helps to accentuate the racing style of this bike.
