Nespresso Essence Concept Coffee Machine Performs Coffee Making Ritual on Your Behalf

Industrial designer André Fangueiro has created a concept Nespresso Machine to redefine the rules of luxury to your everyday routine.

For people who don’t really go through the ritual of making their own coffee, are often easily found at most baristas, but anyone will attest that a quick-grab version of the beverage is average at best… and relatively expensive. This provided Fangueiro with the perfect opportunity to develop a machine that performed the coffee ritual on behalf of its user, and was as simple to operate as a Nespresso.

Meet Nespresso Essence. Coffee-drinking is a slow, elaborate, thoroughly enjoyed process. Nespresso Essence simplifies how you prepare your coffee by allowing you to simply load a coffee-pod the machine, selecting your size, strength and milk ratio and letting the machine do the rest of the work. The brewer extracts the unique blend of coffee from within the cap, steeps it in water for the right time at the right temperature, and then pours it into a cup below.

Nespresso Essence design ‘boils down’ to its single-screen interface that makes it incredibly easy to prepare your coffee without worrying about over-steeping or under-steeping. André Fangueiro explains that the machine cleanly ejects the contents of the pods out into its top container.

Here’s to a future where enjoying your daily cup of coffee is fast, luxurious, incredibly tasty, and rewarding!
