Inspired by a Traffic Cone, Pylon Chair Offers Sleek Design with Stackable Feature

Stackable and versatile, Pylon Chair is an intersection between art and design. It looks like a traffic cone at first, but when you fold it out, it transforms into a durable stool. It offers sleek appearance with space-saving feature. It’s a cool char specially made for modern design enthusiasts.

Pylon Chair by Timo Riemann is created with laminated fiberglass, fiberglass-reinforced polyamide, and variety of moulds. There’s a one-of-a kind brass hinge specially designed for this piece. Pylon Chair was one of Riemann’s projects during his first semester at university, he got this idea from watching an idle traffic cone, just sitting in the corner. Then the idea came to fruition as you can see here.
