Submitted by Vasil Velchev, Hokkaido chair is named after second largest island in Japan to honor the island. Shuriken, Japanese warrior weapon is the stylized logo of the island, a cool seven point star, which is also used on this chair. You can clearly see that the overall look of this chair was inspired by the Asian culture with three main materials: leather, wood, and metal pipes.

Vasil Velchev wants you to see and feel the influence of Asia in this Hokkaido chair project. Through the use of materials, colors, and symbols, which are related to Japan, he wishes that this chair reminds you of Eastern philosophy and culture. The main frame is crafted from wood and chrome, connected together while the seat and back-rest are made of leather connected by hidden fixation to the frame.
