Another Kingdom: Light Stage, it’s a unique chess set design where each chess piece is crafted by hand with a combination of techniques. Legend says that Light Stage belongs to the planet Us2BeBetter, it’s a planet where its inhabitants are born to start a new story. It means that there’s always a change to return to origins, avoiding conflicts and the destruction of neighboring kingdoms. Through playing a game on the chessboard, all residents have the opportunity to reverse the course of history.
In this scenario, the chess pieces rise on two mountains and at the center of the board, there’s a hidden artifact, a precious object which is eagerly sought after on this planet. This magical artifact that looks like an old pocket watch has the power to temporarily revert a past.
Designed by Taras Zheltyshev of Yoomoota, Another Kingdom: Light Stage Chess Set goes through a manufacturing process that involves fine-detailed 3D printing from photopolymer plastic, molding, sculpting, polymer casting with manual processing of objects and acrylic paint detailing. Available for $11,000 USD, each set comes with embedded an NFC chip, a digital certificate that authenticates and records artwork’s ownership and provenance.
