Designed by Jörg Tragatschnig, EXOlung Underwater Breathing Device works in simple yet practical. Extending your legs means exhalation, fresh air would be drawn down from the surface, water is displaced from the air bell then connected with a fin kick for propulsion. Retracting your legs means inhalation where water pressure puts air inside that air bell under ambient water pressure, it can then be inhaled effortlessly. Using your body power and proportionally varying inhalation and exhalation phase, you can control your own buoyancy, it can result in varying in the submerged air volume.

Currently EXOlung is at final prototyping phase, the company is looking for an industry partner to manufacture and market EXOlung.
