Mori Friendly Robot is a concept robotic friend for those reclusive loners. Instead of keeping them even more alone, this robot would give them courage to overcome their isolated lives. It’s a companion robot that always watches over them, making sure they can slowly open their world to other people.
In our busy lives, modern individuals tend to avoid going outside whether it’s due to internal or external factors, especially after pandemic, this habit leads to tendency to avoid social life. The physical activity levels have become drastically low, most often than not, they also neglect self-care at home, thus, leading to both mental and physical health issues.
YeEun Kim and Taewan Kim have come up with Mori Robot to help these individuals overcome these challenges using emotion recognition sensor technology. This robot is capable to provide empathy according to user’s mood and initiate a conversation to build connection.
Open the top part of Mori, it reveals a headset that can be used to communicate with embedded AI technology. User can receive a mission to encourage outdoor activities. The bottom part comes with a stand for power and volume control through buttons.
