Designed for Marathon Targets, this Delivery Droid concept is an innovative robot designed specifically to automate parcel delivery. The future of delivery is robot, it’s undeniable, many major companies are testing delivery robots to bring your order(s) right at your doorstep. This concept robot utilizes autonomous navigation technology developed by the company itself for use in military and law enforcement applications. This smart technology allows for Delivery Droid to avoid obstacles such as trees and pedestrians while easily navigate through footpaths and crossings.
Designed by Cristina Borràs, Delivery Droid has a secured locker to keep the loads safe, it can only be opened using a code sent to the customer’s smartphone. The current prototype was successfully tested by Australia Post for after-hours items delivery, it has delivered more than 100 packages mostly after dark.
