Teachbox Concept Trains Children’s Creative Mind

Millions of boxes including health and food aids are annually sent to developing countries such as the African and Asian ones and those in other parts of the world covered by the UNICEF. Upon unpacking, most of these boxes are disposed of while these plain boxes enjoy a powerful potential to be creatively reused. In this concept, a sustainable solution is presented, based on which the simple model of 3-D puzzles is perforated on the boxes sent by the UNICEF.

The color and graphic elements of these puzzles attract the children, they will then take out the puzzle perforated models for completion and playing with. The Teachbox concept provides with the children possibility to make their own toys.

Casabella Cleaning Robot Concept by Elliot Cohen

Casabella cleaning robot concept has been designed to celebrate Casabella 25th anniversary, it was shown at the International Housewares Show 2013, Chicago. Since the company is in cleaning and kitchen gadgets industry, this industrial designer has come up with innovative concept robot to inspire future design.

The robot itself uses a process called Microbial Electrolysis, which is a proven process that uses bacteria as a power source. The robot vacuums up waste, then harnesses the energy within the bacteria to power itself. So in short, the robot is completely sustainable by utilizing power derived from the matter it “consumes” or vacuums up.

Another unique feature of the robot is the honeycomb flex wheels that give the robot the ability to climb up and down stairs and over obstacles. The honeycomb structure is one of the strongest in nature, but when there is pressure, it has the ability to collapse and flex to help guide the robot up stairs.

MORI Folding Bike Concept by Janus Yuan

MORI folding bike aims to increase the rate of bike ridership especially in an urban environment for better sustainable future. Based on statistic in America, women comprise only 25% of bicycle riders. Can you see a gender gap here? This is due to the bicycle industry that focuses merely on existing cyclists and ignoring the needs of those non-riders, mostly women. In this case, female users could potentially become an expanding market for future bicycle industry.

Considered female user characteristics, the size of MORI must be small enough for user to carry and storage. Using 3-D printing technology, users can design their personal pattern, color, texture and even structure of battery case. For power system, combining human-powered and electromotor-powered modes together, users can chose different riding gesture and power mode based on their different requirements.

You can easily transform this bike from bicycle, scooter, trolley, to folding mode. MORI folding bike is your perfect daily companion, from going to work, shop, to ride home.
