Waldner : The Next Generation Ping Pong Table by Robert Lindstrom

Robert Lindström has designed Waldner, the next generation of ping pong table by combining advanced computer system with tennis table that boasts a multi-touch surface. This table responds to any touch from any objects, in this case ping pong balls. Taking advantage of “Siri” voice recognition from Apple, along with a Mac Pro 12-core computer, this tennis table takes conventional game into the next level. This table is very intelligent, it can feel, see and hear the game, it even can provide you with essential information to improve your ping pong skills or argue about a point.

Waldner tennis table is equipped with 2.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5620 processors along with ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphic cards, WI-FI connection and 12 Bose micro speakers. The surface is the screen, it can display any information related to the game on its 2.74m long and 1.52m wide area. Players can retrieve information after or during the game, all kind of statistics can be displayed on the surface of this table such as balls hits areas comparison, speed or scores. You can even visualized everything in 3D on your tablet or smartphone.
