Modern farming requires modern technology for increasing efficiency and productivity while reducing environmental impact. VKTOR is a conceptual autonomous farming vehicle designed to manage a farm and its logistic system, resulting in lower operating costs and improving crop quality. Furthermore, this futuristic project aims to replace manual labor with machine labor, non-stop working can be done without sacrificing employees working conditions. At the same time, it also increases safety on the farm.
VKTOR or Vector Farming Vehicles serves a means of transport for agricultural machinery and products. The vehicle is equipped with a single central tracked moved by a wheel motor, it is capable of hooking up machinery of different sizes and weights, as well as transporting goods throughout the farm area. Alessandro Pennese makes sure that VKTOR is highly functional to work individually or in tandem with other modules.
The track of VKTOR provides advantages over the wheel by reducing pressure on the ground especially on those poorly compacted surface, it also increases the grip. We know that tracked vehicles are usually have better mobility than those with tires on rough terrain, because they reduce jolting by passing over smaller obstacles. Furthermore, tracks are definitely more durable than tires because they can’t burst or be punctured.
