A safe cabinet doesn’t have to look cold and ugly, Scott Jarvie has decided to add modern touch to this bank vault. Well, traditionally, those bank vaults are designed to look tough and safe with hidden mechanisms. This project aims to explore semiotic cues associated with our perception of value. It’s based on fantasy of popular culture where Safe Cabinet should be an object of value as well as a vessel for value.

You’ll witness beautiful motion of the mechanism as the cabinet is opened through the central hand wheel. The continuous rotation cycles between locked and unlocked position create captivating visual effect. Each unit is generously proportioned and its height adjustable shelves provide flexibility in the storage.
