The original Yamaha Ténéré was developed in 1983, it was inspired by Yamaha XT, which won first Dakar Rally in ’79 and ’80. Ténéré became an iconic adventure bike that changed the world of motorcycling.
Now, 40 years later, Yamaha Ténéré 700 has been developed to capture the imagination of a new generation of riders. This 2020 rally edition comes with the iconic heritage rally colors and even higher standard specification. It features modern translation of the legendary striking blue and yellow combination, the same combination used for early Ténéré models racing in the Dakar. Ténéré 700 pays tribute to the factory bikes raced by the legendary Jean-Claude Olivier and Serge Bacou. That blue-yellow contrast, gold rims, and speed block design blends perfectly with black handlebars, every detail complements the overall design.
Yamaha Ténéré 700 Rally Edition Motorcycle has dedicated one-piece rally seat, it offers slightly higher and straighter riding position for more comfort and easier body movement, especially during long expeditions. This seat is 20mm higher than standard seat, with printed YAMAHA logo to enhance Rally image. The sporty Akrapovic slip-on muffler offers high-performance with rally looks, it emits beautiful throaty-rich sound but not too loud. This motorcycle is fully street legal. The rubber grip pads offer maximum knee grip that will be needed during stand-up riding.
